I'm on Instagram! Mostly, I'll probably post pictures of what I'm making for dinner. But also new work, design ideas, and scenes from my world. Follow me at: @teningaard

I've created a little New Years gift to share: (click here) It's a note sheet I made in order to record and recap highlights of the past year, and to plan for and predict the upcoming year/s. When I was little, our family did something like this around the 1st of every year, and then stowed them away until the next new year. They're pretty fantastic to read now, years later - especially in the 'what do you want to be when you grow up' category. Feel free to share it with friends and family!

I'm excited to be a contributing illustrator (infographicist?) to the fantastic new Book of Jezebel, collaborating with Jezebel.com founder Anna Holmes on 'A Periodic Chart of your Period' (the culmination of all periodic charts I've ever done).

Thank you to Hour Detroit for naming me a contributor this month. And for perhaps the all-time best Contributor bio, in which my (really very normal) family sounds excedingly, awesomely eccentric:

"Teninbaum comes from a family of foodies. "My father makes jelly from the grapes he grows, and honey from the bees he keeps. He also smokes his own salmon, and makes his own yogurt, weekly," says the New York-based ilustrator and graphic designer. "My brother grafts fig trees. My mom makes her own salt from seawater, and grows citrus trees. Our family has a secret family recipe file." It's fitting, then, that Teninbaum illustrated this issue's story on food trends for her first contribution to Hour Detroit. And, as an ovo-lacto-pescatarian for 20 years, she is something of a trendsetter among a growing coterie of specialty-diet followers."

It was a thrill to work with renowned high wire artist (and subject of the 2008 Oscar-winning documentary, 'Man on Wire') Philippe Petit on the design of his book about knot tying. The book was chosen by the Huffington Post as one of 2013's Best Books.

It was a great honor to serve as a jury member at the illustrious (!) Society of Illustrators 54th Annual Competition, the largest competition of its kind in the world. The work, and fellow jurors, were inspiring. Thank you, Yuko Shimizu, for including me!

I've launched a new project: The Weather Report. It's a record of how various temperatures actually feel (and the range of personality in each number).

Maybe it'll help you figure out what to wear today?!
